CISCO IP PHONE 7900 SERIES (7940, 7941, 7942, 7960, 7961, 7962) FACTORY RESET

*** To Hard Reset the Phone ***

Step 1: Connect IP phone to PoE switch to turn it on.

Step 2: Press and hold # button until speed dial buttons by the screen start blinking.

Step 3: Once speed dial button start blinking Press reset sequence buttons "123456789*0#" to begin reset of IP phone...

*** To Soft Reset the Phone (Better option for Cisco IP Phones)***

Step 1: Connect IP Phone with PoE switch to Power it on

Step 2: Press **# in order to unlock Network Configuration on the phone.

Step 3: Press Settings.

Step 4: Press 3 on the keypad (or scroll down) for Network Configuration.

Step 5: Press 33 on the keypad (or scroll down) for Erase Configuration.

Step 6: Press the Yes Soft-key.

Step 7: Press the Save Soft-key. It will soft reset the phone.
